Promoting Affiliate Links Through Email Marketing

While some people may try to convince you that email is dead, the numbers don’t lie.

Email use worldwide will top 3 billion users by 2020.*

Thanks to Smartphones, people are checking their email in the bathroom, in bed and everywhere else. Your audience is on email. You worked hard to build your email list.  Affiliate marketing is a great way to monetize that hard work!

Wait, you don’t have an email list? Here is a great article by Click Funnels on how to start building one

Here are some affiliate marketing tips for creating converting emails

Beginning, Middle and End. Think of your email as a mini-blog post. The same affiliate link rules apply. Make sure your links are obvious and located throughout the email…beginning, middle and end. Have a strong and immediate call to action such as click here to receive a free sample, ebook, discount, etc

Provide Value. On your blog, you recognize the importance of providing value to your followers. You have a variety of posts that are monetized and others that are not. The same goes with your email marketing. Not every email should be for affiliate marketing.

Mobile Is Everywhere. It is hard to go anywhere and not see someone checking their smartphone. As such, it should be no surprise that 54% of email is checked on a mobile device**. Be sure both your email and your blog are optimized for mobile viewing.

Test and Test Again. Try out a variety of subject lines and formats before you send an email to your entire list. Test How To versus Thank you versus Gift as well as other variations that speak to your audience.
